A woman was handling a firearm on Friday night in the courtyard entrance area in Favoriten. She is said to have fired a shot into the side of a mailbox. When the shot was fired, there was said to be a thunderclap, recoil and a loud bang.
Officials from the Favoriten municipal police command, other emergency services and WEGA were contacted. Thanks to the available video material, a 29-year-old woman was found and identified in the Rudolfshügelpark area, the police report. During an investigation, addictive substances – apparently cannabis – were found on the woman and they were seized.

Against the truth, the woman was increasingly aggressive towards the officers and insulted them several times. She was temporarily arrested. No firearm was found. The 29-year-old has been reported several times. Among other things, because of a threat to physical safety and under the provisions of the Weapons and Narcotic Substances Act. A temporary arms embargo was issued against them. Further investigations are ongoing. No one was injured in the incident.
