A tragedy occurred on the A7 motorway near Saint-Cyr-sur-le-Rhône. May after 12:30 pm this Tuesday July 28, a woman fell from a bridge over the highway.
The victim, a 37-year-old woman living in Pont-Évêque, was hit by a truck carrying vehicles, reports The Dauphiné Libéré. The Vienna firefighters and a team from Smur were quickly dispatched to the scene. They could not resuscitate the victim. Following this incident, traffic was greatly disrupted on the A7 motorway : the right lane has been neutralized. Nearly 10km of traffic jams were observed.
According to investigators, a car was found stationary on the bridge but the highway CRS must now establish that the victim and the owner of the car are the same person. For the moment, the suicide hypothesis is favored. An investigation was opened and was entrusted to the police of the highway CRS.
