When the protocols were handed over to the OIC, the woman died, the reason being the slow processing of the documents, Nova TV reported.
Long queues formed that night in front of the building of the Municipal Election Commission in Sofia. Boyan Tsvetanov was the first to enter the OIC building, four hours later he was also the first to leave.
“They didn’t let us in for an hour because there was no organization. Inside was a batak. There was no number for a long time. We stood at the entrance for an hour and 20 minutes before the numbers came out and we went inside,” said Boyan Tsvetanov, chairman of the 128th mobile polling station in the Mladost district. “When we entered, we had to wait again because the system was not working,” he added.
The removal of the ballot bags continued late into the night, people traditionally rushing to get a number to be called into the hall and hand in their minutes. Despite the provision of transportation and food and water, many of them never made it to their homes on time due to organizational problems.
The people who were delayed in the schools because of problems with the printers or lost protocols arrived at the OIC at the latest, and the people from the SIK in the 120th school in Sofia remained locked until one o’clock in the morning because of a technical problem with the copiers.
