It is a surprising discovery which was made overnight from Sunday to Monday on the A43 in Saint-Priest. According to Le Progrès, a young wolf was violently hit by a vehicle on the fast lane. The animal did not survive its injuries.
The body is now in the hands of the French Office for Biodiversity. An autopsy will be performed to determine the characteristics of the predator.
A little less than a year ago, the presence of a wolf was observed for the first time in the Rhône department. The beast had been photographed by an automatic camera in Chambost-Allières.
