The orange icing warning announced by the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Center is valid throughout the country. The warning says that in many parts of the country it is expected to rain again or freeze. Roads, streets and sidewalks will be iced, as will the layers of icing on the wires and tree branches – the weight will increase significantly and there is a risk that they may break.

The temperature will gradually rise throughout the day. Late in the evening the air will warm to 0 .. + 3 degrees and only a little frost will remain in the northeast of the country.
