A Windows 10 update brings a new copy and paste function – Office at MundoInsider

An update to Windows 10 brings a new copy and paste feature. An upcoming operating system feature update is set to improve the “cloud clipboard“. It will bring support for some functions including “paste as plain text”, emojis, GIF and more.

In addition to the Cloud Clipboard improvements, Microsoft is also testing a new Action Center feature that will allow Bluetooth alerts to stay on screen for a few more seconds.

As we all know by now, typing Win + V shows the Clipboard history experience in Windows 10. The history screen allows us to anchor frequently pasted items, access the history itself and synchronize the content on all our PCs if we choose to enable it.

Microsoft is now testing this new update for the clipboard history that will allow us, as we have already said, to access the option “Paste as plain text”. This will sit alongside the existing pin and delete buttons.

By default, Windows 10 allows us to paste the text with the usual Ctrl + V shortcut that includes the original format. When using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint or any other application, pasting the content of a web page, for example, will always keep the original format (bold, italic, etc).

In some applications like Word, we can, however, select the option to copy without formatting. Now this comes to all of Windows 10 with the 21H2 update.

In addition to this, as we have said, now the Windows 10 Clipboard will support emojis and GIFs. Those in Redmond have added a new panel in clipboard history that will allow users to insert GIFs, emojis, and kamojis. This will make it easier for users to insert their WhatsApp, Messenger or Telegram content, among others.
