A Argentine family of 11 members, divided into two adjoining houses, he caught the coronavirus in just a few days. One of its members is Jesica Andrea Granado, who saw how she lost her father and grandmother to the pathogen: “In five days all hell broke loose”, declares the Infobae.
Last August, two ambulances arrived at the home located in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Isidro Casanova. One of the vehicles he took his grandmother, who had passed away, and another to his father, who lost his life just a few days later.
Jesica Andrea lives with her children Maia, 20, and Lorenzo, 8, in addition to her husband Elías, 47, in his parents’ house. A maternal aunt also resides with them, who due to the pandemic could not return to her home in Paraguay. And in the adjoining house and sharing a patio, his paternal grandmother lives with three uncles.
Fateful August
It was common for members of both houses to share confidences and meals. But in august, everyone began to live a nightmare upon experiencing coronavirus symptoms: “In five days hell broke loose. Between Monday August 24 and Saturday 29 my parents and three uncles were infected. My grandmother began to agonize. My husband, my children and I started with symptoms. On August 29, my grandmother passed away at her house and, in addition, they took my father away. “
“We do not know how the contagion was. My uncle, the one who lived with my grandmother, was the only member of the family who continued to go out to work. It started with a lot of coughing. I got mad at my dad, because he went from one house to the other to see my grandmother and I told him to ask the brother to go take a test. He replied that he was not going to tell a 60-year-old what to do. So, I asked her to stay in one of the two houses, my grandmother’s or my mother’s. He told me: “I’m not going to get sick”, and I replied: “I hope none of us get sick”recalls Jesica Andrea.
Symptoms
Soon, his father had a very high temperature, as well as a severe headache: “He stayed in bed, something very strange about him.
