Xiaomi strikes where we did not really expect it … The brand has just unveiled its Redmi Note 9S, a terminal which, by its name “Redmi” is intended for the mid-range, but which ultimately plays in the big leagues.
We therefore find a large format terminal 6.67 inch with a Full HD + LCD screen (no OLED) and very thin borders. No more notches on the menu, but a punch which gives way to a front photo sensor centered on the upper part of the camera. Xiaomi takes the opportunity to highlight a greater immersion in video games.
Redmi Note 9S ships an SoC Snapdragon 720G associated with 4 or 6 GB of RAM depending on the versions and 64 to 128 GB of storage, all of which can be upgraded via the port micro SD capable of accommodating up to an additional 512 GB.
Besides the 5020 mAh battery associated with 18W fast charging, the Redmi Note 9S puts a lot on the photo part with a quadruple photo sensor.
There is thus a 48 million pixel main sensor f / 1.79, an 8 MP f / 2.2 wide-angle lens as well as a 5 MP macro sensor, all combined with a 2 MP sensor for depth of field. The photo part will be supported by a dedicated artificial intelligence module.
Xiaomi has announced 3 colors: Glacier White, Aurora Blue and Interstellar Gray for prices ranging from $ 249 to $ 279 (European prices have not yet been announced) depending on the RAM and storage capacity.
Know that pre-orders are open at many retailers such as Gearbest which offers the global version (French ok) of the 64 GB and 128 GB versions in 3 colors at a reduced price.
