One person died when a weekend house caught fire late Tuesday night in Dömsöd, Pest County, the National Directorate for Disaster Management (OKF) informed MTI on Wednesday.
Firefighters found the body of a woman in her fifties while controlling the flames, the release said.
A gas cylinder exploded in the fire, and the firemen brought out another. Due to the quick intervention, the flames did not spread to the adjacent building, they said.
As written: late on Tuesday night, disaster management was notified that a weekend house on Közéső út had caught fire. The whole building was on fire, and the firemen put out the flames in an hour and a half.
A fire investigation procedure will be launched to reveal the fire situation, they said.
They pointed out that 3,305 residential buildings caught fire in the first half of this year, but only ten people had smoke detectors.
