The World Health Organization (WHO) has decided that global monkeypox is a public health emergency of international concern.
The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) has activated a surveillance system at all entrances to Indonesian territory to prevent the spread of monkeypox following the emergence of cases of transmission of the disease in a number of countries, including countries in the Asian region.

The water surface of the Cileungsi River in Bojong Kulur Village, Gunungputri, Bogor Regency, West Java Province, foamed and emitted an unpleasant odor on Wednesday. Head of the Bogor Regency Environment Agency Ade Yana Mulyana said that the government was monitoring river flows to identify starting points for river pollution.
