A way has been devised to sow NBA teams as the season resumes

Under the NBA’s proposals, the league season will resume on July 31 with 22 teams meeting at Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando to mitigate the Covid-19 threat.

Six more teams will join the 16 teams taking place in the playoffs at the Western and Eastern Conferences to determine the final playoffs. Each of the 22 teams will play eight more regular season games to sow in the playoffs.

Currently, the teams have not played the same number of games and this will be the case before the elimination tournament, so the number of units in the table will be determined by the ratio of wins and games played.

The Washington Wizards, represented by Dāvis Bertāns and Anžeja Pasečnik at the Eastern Conference, are six wins behind the top eight, but a difference of no more than four is needed to fight for a place in the playoffs in the play-in tournament. In the West, the ninth and eighth places are divided by four victories, but the fight for the ninth position will be quite fierce, because the ratio of games won and completed for four teams is within half a percent.

At the end of the regular championship, the Dallas Mavericks, represented by Kristaps Porziņģis, will have played the most games – 75, many teams will have 72 to 74 matches, but Sanatonio “Spurs” and Los Angeles “Lakers” will finish the regular tournament with 71 duel.

The NBA has not yet revealed the schedule of games without teams that have not entered the season finale.

Usually, 82 games are played in the regular NBA championship, but this time the usual schedule was disrupted by a coronavirus pandemic. The last time all the teams did not spend the full season was in the 2012/2013 season, when the Boston Celtics – Indians “Pacers” match was not played due to the Boston terrorist attack. The Celtics and Pacers finished the regular tournament with 81 games, but this did not affect the team’s place in the tournament table.
