Eight members of the pyramid, one winner, 10 thousand euros. And little gloves. The free continuation of last year’s successful project was in this spirit Oktagon Underground, which this time received a subtitle Last Man Standing. The attitude elite from the Czech Republic, Slovakia and abroad presented themselves at it, and in addition to the pyramid matches themselves, the fans also witnessed accompanying super fights, in which we saw both domestic legends and young talents.
The gala evening was opened by the first of the prepared reserve fights Jan Pajtaš vs. Andrej Šimkulič. They took care of the fight full of sharp exchanges and there was also a successful knockdown at the end of the third round. Its author was Pajtaš, who sent Šimkulič to the ground hard right. However, three rounds did not decide the winner according to the point judges, so it was extra round.
Here, the decisive moment was Šimkulič’s knee, which Pajtaše he hit the rib area and the Czech fighter went to the ground. He still stood up from it, but he could no longer reverse the match. In the end, Andrej Šimkulič rejoiced in winning.
The second reserve fight belonged to Ladislav Krištůfek and Štefan Mészáros, and there was no shortage of attractive spectacles in this case either. In the second round, Krištůfek gave his opponent beautiful knockdown and the pace did not slow down even in the last, third round. We didn’t see the end before the limit, but we did a sensational battle. Ladislav Krištůfek left the winner 3-0 for points.
The British bulldog Bailey Sugden and the young star Vašek Sivák entered the first pyramid match. As expected, “Bad Boy” confirmed his position as the favorite in this match and took a well-deserved 2-0 win on the points. He hit the defiant Brit with great punches, but he stopped everything and was able to return the blows. He also caused a laceration to Sivák over the right eye. But it was not enough to win.
An interesting moment came after the fight itself, when Vašek Sivák challenged Samuel “Pirate” Krištofič to an attitude match, who said of him before the start of the tournament that he thought was “overrated”. However, the fighters have made up for this misunderstanding, and there will be no clash between fighters from completely different weight categories.
Although Sivák won the promotion to the semifinals, in the end he was unfortunately forced to withdraw from the pyramid due to an injured leg and stitches above the eye. In the semifinals, Krištůfek replaced him

Michael Krčmáč and Ladislav Lengál. That was the names of the authors of the second pyramid struggle. No KO took place, but after three rounds the points judges had a very simple job and the victory 3: 0 on the points was clearly awarded to Michael Krčmář, who dominated throughout the match.
The first premature end of the evening brought the match of Milan Paleš with the German fighter Carsten Ringler. The Slovak fighter sent his opponent in the second round to count and finished his work in the third round, when Ringler went to the ground again and his corner decided throw in the towel cage. Great performance on the side of Paleš.
Marc Dass Rey, who lost Marco Novák in the quarterfinals, lost his fame and money from Spain. Shootouts from previous battles were replaced by a rather tactical and balanced battle, at the end of which hand after winning 3: 0 body picked up the Spaniard. However, as the spectators later learned, the Spaniard was unable to enter the semifinals due to a laceration over his eye.

Andy Čechovský and Croatian Teo Mikelič became the actors of the first super fight. They exchanged punches for three rounds, at the end of which it was not entirely clear whether the referee would announce the winner or extra round. One of the points finally saw the match as a draw, but the other two leaned to the side of Croatian, who took home the win. 2: 0 body.
The only women’s match of the evening belonged to Viktoria Bulínová, who accepted the fight at the last minute, and Klára Strnadová. The ladies did not give anything and the spectators had a view of another balanced battle. However, the point judges were clear about the winner – Klára Strnadová won 3: 0, but her opponent Viktoria Bulínová also has the honor.
We had an extremely hard knockout in the third super fight of the evening, in which Melvin Mané and Patrik Križan competed. The first of those named in the third round decided the match beautifully stretched right hand, which Mané hit the opponent directly on the chin. He just jumped helplessly to the ground. See the video below.

The first semi-final fight was brought about by the clash of Michael Krčmář with Ladislav Krištůfek, who replaced the wounded Vašek Sivák. Although Krčmář and Krištůfek are friends, it was not known in the cage and they certainly did not skimp on anything. Exactly opposite. The uncompromising battle finally reached the last round, after which it ended the first finalist was Michael Krčmář.
The second finalist was decided by another semi-final duel, in which Milan Paleš and Andrej Šimkulič, who was a replacement for the injured Spaniard, met. However, “Minči” did not hesitate this time either, in the second round he managed to finish Šimkulič and thus secured his way to the dream final.
One of the main highlights of the evening was the match between Fabián Fapš and Matěj Kozubovský. Fapšo confirmed his nickname “Tank”, because he sent Kozubovsky to the ground twice in the first round. However, the roles were exchanged to a certain extent in the second round, when Fapšo confidently dodged the blows of Kozubovsky, who, however, finally hit him exactly and the Slovak beater went to count.
In the third round, it seemed that Kozubovský was starting to take over the reins, but then Fapšo fired another hard right hand, after which Kozubovský was counted again. The Slovak “Tank” thus scored after an incredible battle victory 3: 0 on points.

Tomáš Hron probably doesn’t need to be introduced to martial arts fans. The domestic legend has over a hundred battles and competed with the nearly 130-kilo Serb Mitric in the Last Man Standing tournament. He was surprised at the beginning, when he sent Hron to the counting with the first blow and thus confirmed the saying “He who has a bath has a wound”.
However, Hron used his vast experience, knocked himself out of the fall and I managed to hit Mitric with accurate punches. Both fighters stepped up the pace of the match until the third round, after which the point judges declared an extra round. Hron suffered a laceration in his forehead, but still fought until the last second. However, two of the three point judges eventually named the Serbian fighter the winner.
The struggle of the century posture scene. Such a nickname was earned before the tournament by the battle of two truly resounding names in Thai boxing – Vladimír Moravčík and Igor Daniš. However, the match did not last long. At the end of the first round, Moravčík hit Daniš with an accurate left hand at the bottom and was won. Wonderful KO.
Then it was time for final pyramidthat all the fans were waiting for. Milan Paleš and Michael Krčmář stood against each other, who fought for a prize of 10,000 euros. However, the expected match at the end of the first round was interrupted by an unpleasant one eye poke, which was inadvertently committed by Krčmář and it was not clear until the last moment whether Paleš would be able to continue fighting. But he decided to continue.
The fighters reached the very bottom and put absolutely everything into their third match of the evening. An important moment came in the third round, when Paleš sent Krčmář to count after a strike with his right hand, and thanks to that he secured a 3-0 win on points. Milan Paleš thus became the rightful winner of the Last Man Standing pyramid and, in addition to the big cup, he also received a check for 10,000 euros.
