A virus spreads among France players two days before the final

Media reports revealed that a virus had spread among France’s national team players two days before Sunday’s World Cup final match against Argentina at Lusail Stadium.

The French reached the final after defeating Morocco with two unanswered goals in Wednesday’s semi-final, while Argentina arrived having edged past the Croatian side by three points.

France coach Deschamps has indicated that Kingsley Coman is the third player to be infected with the virus, after Rabiot and Upamecano, who missed the match against Morocco.

And the triple injured medical device was isolated in separate rooms for fear of transmitting the contagion to colleagues before the upcoming final.

Deschamps said in this regard: “We are trying to make sure that the infection does not spread among the players. They are making a great effort on the pitch and it seems that their immune systems are affected.

The French national team are looking to be the first team to win back-to-back World Cups since Brazil in 1958 and 1962.
