A virulent fire burns a pallet company in Alicante and forces CV-824 to cut traffic | Radio Alicante

A virulent fire has burned this morning the ship of a company for the sale of pallets in an industrial estate of the Cañada del Fenollar, as reported by the Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Service of the Alicante City Council (SPEIS).

The fire was declared at 2.15 am at number 4 of the Colomina road for causes that are being investigated and an operation with fifty members of the SPEIS Firefighters, Provincial Council, Local Police of Alicante and San Vicente, National Police and Civil Guard, has worked through the night to its extinction.

The fire had a high thermal load and was located inside the company, but the intervention of the firefighters prevented the flames from spreading to the neighboring warehouses.

Police cut traffic on CV-824 at the height of San Vicente del Raspeig during the fire extinguishing tasks and notified four families living in nearby homes, although no eviction was necessary. In addition, a vehicle parked in the vicinity and a truck were removed from inside the facilities.

The extinction work has lasted for more than seven hours and firefighters continue working and cooling the area affected throughout the morning to avoid new outbreaks.
