Two men beat and cut off part of the thumb of a fellow villager in the Pleven village of Ruptsi, reports the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The victim reported the incident at 6:40 p.m. on March 15 at the Cherven Bryag police station. According to him, two of his acquaintances beat him and injured his hand.
With part of his thumb cut off, the man was admitted to the Pleven hospital. In the course of the investigation, a saber was found and seized, and material damage was found and caused to a car without license plates.
Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the case.
