A village 3 kilometers from Plovdiv has asked to become part of the second largest city in Bulgaria, he has learned Plovdiv24.bg. Here is what Pavel Gimishev – Chairman of the Initiative Committee “Stop the Career in Belashtitsa” wrote on this occasion on the social network Facebook:

Today it finally became clear that the municipality of “Rodopi” is a stepmother for Belashtitsa and its inhabitants. Promises, promises and lies !!! None of the promises came true, everything is somewhere in the future, so it can no longer be! All credit of trust is exhausted!

From today we start and invite all residents and residents of Belashtitsa to discuss and work to initiate a referendum on the separation of Belashtitsa from the municipality “Rodopi” and joining Plovdiv as a neighborhood, retaining its status as a village and town hall.

What will be the benefits for Belashtitsa:

– We are becoming part of the second largest city, with much greater opportunities!

– Daily garbage collection

– Use of the services of parks and gardens

– Municipal security

– Public transport and many other benefits!

We will insist on the provision of funds from the municipality of Plovdiv for the design and construction of a road connecting the so-called bypass road of Belashtitsa with Belomorski district.
