sport">LAREN – Bibian Mentel got the farewell she deserved. On her last trip, from her home in Loosdrecht to the crematorium in Laren, there were torches along the way, a guard of honor of people in several places, music, applause, respect, loving words were heard, tears flowed and memories were recalled. Just before military employees of the Royal House took her into the crematorium, the sun broke through – symbolic of who Bibian Mentel was.
