The mayor of Dupnitsa, Parvan Dangov, hung the Russian flag on the pole in front of the Municipality today, alongside the Bulgarian flag and that of the Low Union. This Dangov also responded to the information given to BTA, adding that he had received a call from the State Agency “National Security” that the flag should be taken down.
However, the flag was taken down twice today by Nikolay Tabakov, municipal councilor from “Democratic Bulgaria” and candidate for deputy in the upcoming elections.
The second time he also threw it into a nearby trash can, because after the first pull, the flag was put back on the pole.
I don’t see anything wrong with the Russian flag being in front of the Municipality today,” Dangov told BTA and added that we have not suspended our relations with the Russian Federation. “As for the bucket, I will refer minimal authorities”, comments more Dangov.
