In the Negev desert, a disputed land between Israelis and Palestinians, young Bedouins attend an intensive course in which they learn about their ancestral culture, with the aim of changing the situation of their communities and giving them a place in a society that does not recognize them legally.
Students attend this boarding school where they are prepared and motivated to go to university, where they hope to acquire tools and knowledge that will help them achieve greater equality for Bedouins in the country.
They make field visits to learn about the difficulties faced by the unrecognized communities that inhabit the Negev desert, a place from which the Israeli government continually tries to evict them to build Jewish settlements.
The “Stars of the Desert” campus aims to create a Bedouin elite that can change the stigmas that have persecuted the community over the years and reduce the low educational level that keeps these populations in poverty.
