A UAE discovery unearths remnants of a settlement dating back centuries.

Abu Dhabi: Ruins of a settlement that existed centuries ago have been discovered in the UAE. The remains of a 1,300-year-old settlement were discovered by the UAE Department of Tourism and Archaeology. The oldest settlement in the Arabian Gulf region has now been discovered in the UAE. The remains of the ancient city were found in the area of Umm al-Khuwin on the island of Sinia. The remains were discovered by the UAE Department of Tourism and Antiquities in collaboration with local and international partners.

The settlement is spread over 12 hectares. Archaeologists believe that a settlement of 100s of houses existed in the area. Researchers have found that the newly discovered settlement is a place where thousands of people were crowded. Remains of a vast compound and large buildings have been recovered from the area. Remains of small buildings with only two rooms are among the remains recovered from the area. Archaeologists believe that the remains of the houses of rich merchants and poor Mukku are the remains of the buildings found. Houses are made of rocks and limestone. Palm wood is used to build the roofs of the houses.

The newly discovered city is located near an ancient Christian monastery discovered last year. Archaeologists explain that the monks of the monastery may have built their house near the settlement.
