Accident notice on Kirtimų st. received around 5 am Tuesday 54 min. Toyota and Volkswagen were reported to have collided.
According to the report, one driver may be under pressure because he is not getting out of the car, and a woman getting out of the other car, she panicked. It was also reported that smoke was coming from cars.
After receiving this report, all operational services of the capital city were sent to the scene – police, ambulance, firefighters.
When the rescuers arrived at the scene of the accident, it became clear that there were no people trapped, and there was no need to guide anyone. However, the liquids spilled from the cars were collected by firefighters.
Paramedics examined both drivers. Later, a man (born in 1975) and a woman (born in 1968) were taken to the hospital. Both are being treated in hospital for their injuries.
Because of the accident, Kirtimų st. a traffic jam was created, which quickly spread to the surrounding streets. In the end, traffic queues stretched several kilometers, cars were parked even on the street of Oslo.
For a time, the road at the scene of the accident was completely impassable.
The incident is under investigation.
