The truck of a Haute-Garonne freight transport company ended up in the ditch this Tuesday, November 23 at around 4:45 a.m., on the D39 between the municipalities of Saint-Angel and Verneix, near Montluçon.
According to the statements of the driver made to the gendarmes, he would have given a blow of the steering wheel to avoid a big game. The driver came from Verneix and arrived at the roundabout at the entrance to Saint-Angel. The truck slammed into the guardrail, before moving to the other side of the track, and ending up in the ditch.
The driver was not injured
No other vehicle was involved and the driver escaped the accident unscathed. It was therefore not taken care of by the firefighters.
From 6 a.m., the department’s teams set up a detour passing through the city center of Saint-Angel.
At 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, November 23, two tow trucks from a Montluçonnais garage were on site to put the semi-trailer back on the road. The mobilized team, around ten people, hoped to clear the road before 10 am.
