MUNICH – A truck driver didn’t have a day off on Friday, October 4, and he caused some chaos in Munich, Germany, on Friday afternoon.
First, the driver misjudged the height of his vehicle and got his semi-trailer stuck under an underpass. It did a lot of damage to the trailer.
However, through a great move he managed to free himself from the corridor. As a result of the damage, he now had to drive his truck, along with the police, to the nearby police station to record the accident and make a report.
On the way to the police station, he drove a little wildly around a bump in the road and parked his tractor in a grass strip where he got stuck. The resulting traffic was now so great that the response speed of a nearby fire station was also compromised, as the traffic backed up to the fire station exit.
So the emergency services rushed to help the unfortunate driver. With the help of a fire truck winch and various substructure materials, they were able to pull the truck back onto the paved road surface without further damage. They also had to move a temporary traffic light to free the vehicle.
Once he is free again, the driver continued on his way under the auspices of the police to the site of a transport company where it was necessary to check the road safety of the vehicle. But here too things went wrong again! Here the driver crashed his truck into a parked car, damaging the car.
The police are investigating the case. Total damage could not yet be estimated, police said.
