However, the recent tragic events, when tens of thousands of people lost their lives in an earthquake, made us think about countries that are dangerous to go to for any reason – be it natural disasters or the political situation.

The health and safety services company “International SOS” publishes annually interactive map, which shows the level of security risk in each country. It marks in dark red the countries where the political situation is so dangerous that it is more than risky to go there. Of course, almost no one willingly wants to put themselves in danger, and these countries are far from the top destinations where people dream of going on vacation. However, safe remains unsafe – you know which places to visit are literally life-threatening.
The top five most dangerous countries are Afghanistan, Syria, Ukraine, Mali and Iraq. The risk security situation in these countries is related to the fact that there is a high risk of terrorism in the entire territory, various clashes and incidents occur regularly. The situation in these places is unpredictable, and attacks are also possible in places where travelers arrive, such as the capital of Mali, Bamako.
