They were sitting on a park bench
Four girls aged 12 and 13 were admitted to hospital with injuries from a fallen tree in Plovdiv. The children have pelvic injuries, back injuries and headaches. Their injuries were not serious, but they were left for observation in the hospital, Emergency Services reported.
The girls were on their way home from school when they decided to rest on a park bench. Due to the strong wind, the tree fell and its crown collapsed on them, said the father of one of the injured girls.
The fire department in Plovdiv reported that in just one hour, 10 reports of accidents caused by the strong wind were received – fallen trees, dry branches and part of the exterior plaster.
