The driver was tested for alcohol and drugs

A 32-year-old man was run over at around 3.30 this morning by an emergency locomotive at the station in Plovdiv, police said.

“The young man was crossing one of the tracks when he was hit. The victim was taken to hospital for emergency medical care. A blood sample was taken,” police explained, without specifying his condition.

The driver was tested for alcohol and drugs, his results were negative. Investigators of transport crimes are working on the case. Pre-trial proceedings have been instituted.
