The burial should take place on the Baltic Sea. Demminerin’s brother was a sailor, inland waterway skipper on the Rhine. The family from Demmin, who are now scattered throughout Europe, as the “Ostsee-Zeitung” writes, gathered in Warnemünde. When the “Merkur II” left the port, a celebrity honored the mourners: Delfin Delle, who had been swimming in the Baltic Sea for the past few months, appeared.

“Goose bumps moment” on the Baltic Sea
He swam “alongside the ship the whole time and even accompanied us on the way back,” says Demminerin, touched. A rainbow was also added before the urn was lowered into the water. “It was really a goosebump moment,” says the woman.
