MORE ABOUT THE REGIONAL LEAGUE WEST
Deadline day was a good week ago, but KFC Uerdingen 05 proved on Saturday that there is still a lot of quality on the market after that. At least that is what Hamadi Al Ghaddioui, whose transfer was announced by the Krefeld team, suggests.
The striker, who is without a club after leaving SC Freiburg II, brings with him the experience of 16 Bundesliga games for VfB Stuttgart. Al Ghaddioui contributed to the fact that the reigning runners-up even got there in 2019/20 with eight goals in the promotion season. The 33-year-old played in the lower house not only in that season, but also before that for Jahn Regensburg and after his time in Stuttgart for SV Sandhausen. The Bonn native scored 19 goals in 76 second division matches.
Güner filled with pride
Uerdingen’s sports director Adalet Güner can hardly hide his joy in a statement: “We are convinced that Hamadi will more than fulfill our expectations in the Regionalliga West. I am proud to welcome such an experienced player to our ranks.”
At the same time, Uerdingen announced that Al Ghaddioui’s transfer was made possible thanks to the support of a sponsor.
