A total of 873 applicants opt for 70 Local Police positions called in Galicia

The Official Gazette of Galicia (DOG) publishes today the definitive resolution of the 873 applicants admitted to the selection process to opt for 70 Local Police positions that will be resolved with the oppositions centralized by the Xunta through the Galician Academy of Public Security (Agasp). The resolution also includes applicants who are exempt from taking the Galician knowledge test.

The process will start this Thursday at the Silleda fairgrounds (Pontevedra) with two exercises: the knowledge evaluation test, which will consist of a questionnaire of 100 multiple choice questions, and the Galician test, which 169 people must submit to. All applicants must present the Covid Certificate of vaccination or a PCR or antigen test with a negative result obtained in the 48 hours prior to the exam.

The third exercise of the selection process is the Physical testswhich will presumably take place in February at the Galician Center for Sports Technology in Pontevedra. Once the process is finished, it is expected that the compulsory theoretical-practical training course will begin at the Agasp facilities, which must be passed by applicants who pass the previous tests before being able to choose a destination and be appointed trainee civil servants by the municipalities.

This process will cover 70 places throughout Galicia. They are, altogether, 29 municipalities that will have more agents: A Coruña, A Pobra de Trives, Betanzos, Bueu, Carballiño, Fene, Ferrol, Foz, Lugo, Narón, Nigrán, O Barco de Valdeorras, O Grove, Ordes, O Rosal, Ortigueira, Ponteareas, Pontevedra, Porto do Son, Redondela , Ribeira, Salceda de Caselas, Santiago de Compostela, Sanxenxo, Tomiño, Tui, Valdoviño, Vilagarcía de Arousa and Viveiro.
