According to him, the strong message that Russia is alone against the world, that it is surrounded by enemies, is the design of this war. “And yet – in this case, Russia is being used as a hybrid tool, just as” Islamic State – is neither Islam nor a state, when you say Islamic State, you amplify the effect of hybrid warfare, “Galabov added.
“The second very important element,” he said, “is that the psychological portrait of Vladimir Putin tells us nothing. It is not enough for us to counter effectively what we see. effective counteraction includes this, “said the sociologist.
“Neither Mr Putin’s team nor the Kremlin’s decision-makers are looking for a strategic solution,” said Antoni Galabov. “There is no scenario for establishing peace here, there is no attempt to create an idea of how purely human relations will be settled after the end of the active phase of the war,” he added.
Russia will lose the whole world, not just Ukraine, so Dr. Alexander Strelkov, a senior lecturer at Erasmus University College, sees the consequences for Russia of the war in Ukraine.
