A third of the population in Berlevåg is quarantined

In the municipality east of Finnmark, the situation is currently uncertain after the infection was confirmed on Monday, because there is no control over how the infection has entered the municipality, writes NRK.

So far, social events have been canceled, the school has been closed for the week, and a liquor ban has been introduced

The municipality expects answers to several tests in the next few days. They have survived without infection for most of the pandemic, but are now working hard to control the infection.

218 people have been fully vaccinated, and a further around 100 people have received the first dose.

Several other municipalities have had to deal with outbreaks in recent days and weeks, including Hammerfest, Alta and Vadsø.
