A Texas lawsuit challenging Biden’s victory was swept off the court table

Nine judges, three of whom were appointed by the current Republican president, ruled that Texas had no right to interfere in the organization of other US states’ elections. Trump, who still did not acknowledge his election defeat, supported Texas’ efforts and with it more than 100 Republican members of Congress.

The AP called the requested intervention unprecedented. According to voting experts, the lawsuit had no chance of success. All four states concerned on Thursday called on the court to reject it.

Texas complained that the states had changed election rules this year and expanded the possibility of voting by mail, but did not provide specific cases of irregularities. Another 17 Republican-led states joined the initiative. Together, they called on the US Supreme Court to annul the appointment of presidential voters in the defendant states according to the election results.

More than 50 other complaints from Trump’s camp were unsuccessful in various courts. He argues that his opponent won the November 3 election due to massive fraud, but did not provide convincing evidence for his claims.
