Arnaud Desjardins has a great quality for a player evolving to the position of quarter-back. He has an Olympian calm, but he himself admits that this quality will be put to the test against the Carabins at CEPSUM.

“I’m a little nervous and that’s normal. It would be really strange not to feel anything as the meeting approached. I’ve spoken to a few veterans to find out what to expect and it’s unanimous. There really is noise. We prepared for that, ”says Desjardins, specifying that a silent pace should be used throughout the game.
Even though the lanky pivot expects a good challenge in this hostile environment in order to maintain his composure, he is eager to set foot on the pitch.
“It’s going to be a test for everyone. There are going to be some good games and some not so good games, but you have to stay focused on the task at hand. My calm is a strength and it must remain so against Montreal, I look forward to this challenge. ”
Confrontation at the top
The two organizations also have two prominent young pivots. Jonathan Sénécal made it rain and shine in André-Grasset and he is doing very well at the helm of the Montreal offensive.
Arnaud Desjardins also had a brilliant college career and has the most touchdown passes in a season with the Old Montreal Spartans. The Laval offense has been on fire since he was named the team’s quarterback with 136 points scored in three games.
“I can understand people a bit for wanting to compare us. However, I can guarantee one thing, we will never be on the pitch at the same time. My attention is really not on that, it is entirely on the defensive of the Carabins. “
Different defense
The leader of the Rouge et Or attack also ensures that it is not only the Laval offensive that has improved recently.
“The defense is on the rise in Montreal. There have been returns from injury and they are super aggressive in the last games. They bring a lot of pressure. We’re ready for that. ”
Experience offensive
Arnaud Desjardins reflected confidence on the eve of the most important game of his young career. He said the Rouge et Or offensive experience was a big help in this regard.
“We have several players who have performed well under times of pressure in the past. They know this kind of game well and they will help the young players with that. It is definitely an asset. ”
