A Tesla Cybertruck rides the streets of New York

Tesla did not miss the opportunity to advertise its future electric pickup this weekend. Prior to Elon Musk’s appearance on Saturday Night Live, the Cybertruck was spotted taking a short stroll in Manhattan.

Another great publicity stunt for Musk! The Tesla boss himself tweeted a short video of the Cybertruck passing by Radio City Music Hall in New York City. The Cybertruck recently did a publicity tour but that was not enough for it. Just last month, he was spotted outside Tesla’s Giga Factory in Austin. But these new videos show him right in the middle of traffic. Seen next to people and other cars, the Cybertruck’s real size is already more explicit than in the photos. As we knew, it is an important vehicle for Tesla who therefore decided to work extra hard to communicate on this vehicle.

Tesla was recently surprised with a Ram TRX at its Fremont plant. This implies that the 712 hp V8 engine pickup is used as a benchmark for comparing the Cybertruck. We can’t wait to see how the California brand’s latest creation fares against a titan like the TRX. When will the electric utility be unveiled? It’s still a bit of a mystery.

Coming soon to the market?

In March, Musk promised that an updated version of the Cybertruck would arrive in the second quarter of 2021. He also promised that the team would focus on developing the production line that will be located at its Austin plant, in Texas.

The Cybertruck is expected to be offered in three versions. The most expensive will be the three-engine version capable of reaching 100 km / h in just 3.0 seconds. Better, it should offer a range of about 500 miles or nearly 800 km. Prices for this version will start at $ 69,900. The twin-engine version is expected to start at $ 49,000 and enjoy a range of 300 miles (482 km), while the entry-level model will be able to travel around 400 km and cost just $ 39,900.
