A landslide along the Palos Verdes coast in Los Angeles, California has closed a beach as part of the cliff falls onto the beach below.
Police say a passerby called at the first slide at 10am.
A county maintenance worker rushed to the area and parked his truck near the lifeguard tower on the beach.
Within minutes, the second slide occurred, causing the truck to plummet more than 30 feet.
