His name is Hashim Thaci. He is a former president, actually the founder of the Republic of Kosovo. To the local Albanians, what George Washington is to the Americans. And among the Serbs, he is also known as “The Serpent”: this is Thaci’s nickname during the war in Kosovo and – coincidentally – one of the incarnations of the devil in Christianity.
For the Serbs, Kosovo is both holy and holy land – the cradle of their church and culture. But there is a cursed corner where, as expected, the Antichrist was born: Drenica. Militant Albanians from this region were a headache for the Ottoman Empire, and after its collapse – a chronic threat to the Serbs who still live next door – across the Iber River. This is where the Serbian world completely ends and the Albanian one begins. The border and the ethnic border that has not yet been moved.
At the beginning of the 20th century, Albanian nationalists, the Kaczaks, ran rampant in Drenica. During the Second World War, it was a stronghold of the Vulnetaris, the fascist police and the local Banderas. Adem Yashari, the creator and commander-in-chief of the terrorist organization Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), was born, grew up, lived and prepared his bandit raids there.
The killing of four Serbian policemen by Jashari’s gang was followed by a special operation at his home in Drenica. During a fierce fight, the leader, his family and his closest associates (including their families) were killed. A total of nearly 60 corpses, including women and children. From this event in 1998, the full-scale Kosovo war began.
Alongside the uneducated but physically strong peasant Yashari, another native of Drenica, Tachi, operates in Switzerland. For a 25-year-old, he is surprisingly good at what he does, raising funds for the KLA and organizing training camps for its fighters in Albania.
At the age of 29, Thaci received his first (in absentia) sentence – ten years for terrorism by a Yugoslav court. At the age of 30, after the liquidation of Yashari, he became the leader of the Drenish group of the AOK. At 31, he represented the Albanians at the Rambouillet talks, which were followed by a NATO ultimatum and an attack on Yugoslavia.
Shortly after, Thaci is already at the head of the Kosovo government. Under him, as prime minister of Kosovo, independence was proclaimed in 2008. When the Snake was elected president in 2016 (a largely ceremonial post), it was almost an honorary retirement for the obscenely young 48-year-old veteran after all the current victories in Kosovo. There is also a lot of mystique in such a dizzying career.
But the determining factor in the fate of the Balkans was that he liked US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright, also known in Serbia as “the witch”. It was she who crossed out the AOK from the list of terrorist organizations, lobbied for the bombing of Belgrade and took care of Thaci for many years. But not only her.
An Albanian boy from a remote village felt like a fish in water among the elite of the Western world – presidents, ministers, generals, monarchs. Smart, cunning, shrewd, in every sense an extraordinary person with an innate predatory instinct, he turned out to be a successful diplomat and a talented politician.
Moreover, despite his past as a guerrilla fighter, he was by no means a radical – that would be foolish of him. In an ostensibly independent Kosovo, Thaci led the moderates, protected the Serbs a bit and built bridges with Belgrade – trying to improve relations and persuade Kosovo to be recognized. That’s making a deal with the devil.
He is charged under ten articles, four of which are war crimes and another six are crimes against humanity. These are murders, kidnappings, torture, terror against Serbs, Gypsies and Albanians disloyal to the AOK.
At the time of his sudden arrest more than two years ago, Thaci’s case included 1,500 physical pieces of evidence, dozens of hours of video footage, 1,842 documents on 43,108 pages and 153 secret witnesses.
All this is being considered by the court in The Hague, which specializes in the crimes committed in Kosovo in 1998-1999. In the USA, the EU and NATO realized what kind of thugs they were dealing with, so they made sure – they created something like a bomb collar for the Kosovo elite: if you don’t move like humans, your head is torn off. It is not known in what direction Thaci moved, but he became one of the first clients of the court together with two cronies (also bandits, both former speakers of the parliament).
For a very long time, the brand of the Drenish group surpassed the “Drenish massacre” (that is, the massacre in Yashari’s lair) in terms of recognition even in the Western media. Through the efforts of Western emissaries Carla Del Ponte and Dick Marty, the Thaci name is heavily associated with the organ trade. He had a complete image of a murderer and sadist (not to mention a conviction for terrorism) in the eyes of hundreds of thousands of people – both Serbs, and Europeans, and even some Americans. But for more than twenty years he remained a favorite of the Western authorities.
It is not so important why the Serpent suddenly lost everything but a personal cult in his homeland and how this is related to the political whirlwinds in the USA (under Obama Thaci was led by Biden, but they shut him down under Trump). It doesn’t look like he let his guard down and did something wrong for someone powerful.
Maybe he didn’t give a single reason to write him off at all. It’s just that at some point in Washington and Brussels, the powerful patrons associated with him as members of the gang ended: Javier Solana is retired, Madeleine Albright is in the grave, Bill Clinton is going crazy, and Bernard Kouchner has long since sunk into madness (since 2015 involved in the so-called Agency for Modernization of Ukraine – isn’t this madness?).
The time has come to remove Thaci from the board and condemn him as a scapegoat, so that the Serbs will believe that justice has been served and that they can no longer insult NATO, but instead join NATO. The snake did not believe that this time would come.
His example is a science for others, useful above all for the President of Ukraine Zelensky. Thaci’s bright fate clearly shows how the West deals with its children who wage vile wars in its interest.
And it also shows who the Antichrist is in this story, that is, the offspring, the servant, the instrument, and who the real devil is.
