A terminal client for your podcasts

If you like listening to podcasts but can’t find any decent clients, it might be time to take a look at command line tools.

For example, Castero, which is licensed free and allows you to build a library of podcasts from RSS feeds of your favorite shows. It allows you to manage downloads of different podcasts, to update them automatically and of course to be able to listen to them without leaving your terminal.

We can thus mark them as listened/not listened to, increase the reading speed, add episodes to the queuleuleu or even download them to listen to them offline.

To install it:

pip3 install castero

The tool offers several layouts and you can also import and export the entire catalog in the OPML format well known to people who still love RSS feeds.
