NY will have on May 11 a telemarathon for the benefit of the local charitable organization Robin Hood and thousands of New Yorkers affected by pandemic of coronavirus, in which a multitude of celebrities such as Robert De Niro, Spike Lee and Mariah Carey.
The one-hour event, organized in collaboration with the media group iHeartRadio, will be led by the writer, actress, director of who and producer Tina Fey.
Starting at 19:00 local (23:00 GMT) they will parade through the telemarathon a multitude of celebrities, almost all with ties to NY.
The group Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, Mariah Carey and Sting They will perform various songs.
The participation of Jennifer Lopez, Barbra Streisand, Lin–Manuel Miranda -Actor and creator of the musical comedy ‘Hamilton’ – and Trevor Noah, conductor del programa The Daily Show.
All of the donations will be allocated to the association Robin Hood, which collaborates with more than 250 organizations that grant feeding to those most in need, and help to find a job O living place.
According to the Bureau of Employment Statistics (BLS), the number of people with jobs in NY contracted by 129,000 between the months of February and March.
