A 17-year-old boy fell from the first floor of a building last night in Poussan, north of Sète, in the Thau basin. He is seriously injured.

A survey of gendarmes of the Pézenas company is underway to shed light on what almost turned into a tragedy: around 11:45 p.m., on the night of Wednesday 13 to Thursday 14 November 2024, a minor aged 17 who was at the home family located on the first floor of a building in Poussan opened a window, before jumping into the street.

He fell on a parked car, before falling to the ground, lying in serious condition. The firefighters of Sdis 34 from the Gigean barracks, quickly on site, requested a medical team from Samu 34, dispatched aboard the helicopter. The device landed on the town’s municipal stadium, before emergency workers medicalized the teenager and evacuated him to Montpellier University Hospital as an absolute emergency.

The first testimonies attest that the teenager voluntarily jumped from the first floor and that he was never pushed. It remains for the police to determine what could have happened to cause him to brutally defend himself from the window. As soon as his health permits, he will be heard.
