A teenager between life and death after a brutal crash on the Bordeaux-Toulouse motorway,

The car was driving fast and the driver, perhaps not alert enough, did not react quickly enough while driving to Toulouse on the highway this Friday, August 2. The impact was violent and the car was literally embedded under the trailer of the heavy goods vehicle in front of it.

Alerted at 9:15 p.m., firefighters deployed several intervention teams to deal with the victims. A team from Smur 31 was also sent in to give first aid to the front passenger, a 17-year-old boy. In shock, the teenager found himself embedded in the metal sheets of the car, blocked by the back of the truck.

The driver and another passenger were not injured

Firefighters had to move apart to free the injured man. With on-site medical treatment by the Smur 31 emergency team, this boy was then evacuated to the Pur pan hospital emergency room. According to the first assessments, he suffered from many traumas and fractures. His life was in danger when he was admitted to the hospital.

The driver, an 18-year-old boy, and a second passenger, who was also a young adult, escaped unhurt from this accident although both were shocked. After treatment on site, they were not transported to a medical center.

The driver must explain to the gendarmes of the road safety squadron of the department the circumstances that caused this accident that involved six firefighters and disrupted traffic on the A 62 in both directions of traffic.
