A high school student who suffered a massacre in Itaewon has been found dead.

According to police on the 13th, high school student A was found dead by police at a lodging house in Mapo-gu, Seoul at around 11:40 pm the day before, the 45th day of “10/29 Itaewon disaster”. .

Police were searching the area after receiving a missing report from the mother of Group A at around 11:10pm the same day.

Following the forensic examination at the scene, no criminal charges were found and no suicide note was found.

Group A was identified as a survivor of the Itaewon disaster on 29 October. At that time, the friend who was with him died and Group A was injured and was reported to be treated in the hospital.

A police official said: “Group A is estimated to have made an extreme choice and, in accordance with the wishes of the bereaved, we have decided not to perform the autopsy.”

On October 29, which was Halloween, 158 people died and 197 were injured in a terrible stampede in Itaewon.
