a technology campus and a ‘green’ datacenter in the United States

2CRSi chooses Rouses Point, New York, to establish a ‘green’ campus and data center in the United States. The technology campus is set to become 2CRSi’s center of expertise in the United States, bringing together the production of computer equipment, sales, training, research and development and support functions, as well as a data center providing to customers of green accommodation services.

Strategically located at the entrance to the Quebec-New York corridor between New York and Montreal, the former Pfizer production site, just 800m from the Canadian border, in Clinton County, is being rehabilitated by ERS Investors and will be specifically developed by 2CRSi for his project. 2CRSi and ERS plan to build a campus fully integrated into the local economic fabric, creating jobs and forging partnerships with surrounding universities. The group is currently working on a solution to reuse heat from servers in nearby homes and businesses.

With access to green and affordable electricity, the first phase of the design of the production site and the data center shows an initial electrical capacity of several megawatts. Customers can also benefit from substantial savings in operational costs through the use of the most advanced cooling solutions on the market.

2CRSi and ERS have already jointly invested over $ 12 million in the project and plan to invest an additional $ 8 million. This will allow 2CRSI to start the production activity and offer green IT services to its first customers. Together, they will equip the campus with a 100 Gbps high-speed network, attracting production and data processing companies to what will become “the future jewel of the North-East”. Finally, the 2CRSi campus will be an illustration of ERS standards in terms of sustainable development and good sustainable production practices.
