Already in preventive detention in the agricultural prison of Ali Moumen, the teacher was found guilty of “indecent assault”, “violence” and “sexual harassment” before the criminal chamber of the Settat Court of Appeal. He has ten days to appeal this decision.

The case dates back to last September after the dissemination on social networks of sexual messages exchanged between one of the professors prosecuted and his students. Since then, several cases of sexual harassment suffered by female students by their professors in Moroccan universities have been revealed to the public.
In addition to the main defendant, four other professors must appear this Thursday in the context of the same scandal. They face heavy charges: “incitement to debauchery”, “gender discrimination”, “violence against women”.
