A taxi driver from Pazardzhik was attacked and beaten by a group of men. This happened at a taxi stand in the center of the town, near the town hall. According to the victim, there were 12 attackers.
“I was attacked innocently, not knowing what it was about,” said the victim, Tsvetan Kuzev.

On Friday around 11:30 pm, Tsvetan stopped at the taxi stand opposite the city in Pazardzhik. In the mirror he saw a group of 12 men standing nearby, some of them wearing masks. Suddenly some men approached his car. “I thought they were customers. I opened the window. They asked me where the boy who broke the brake light of someone who knew them was. I explained to them, I even explained to them twice that I don’t even know what the case is, what it’s about,” he says.

After not receiving an answer to their questions, the men attacked the driver with their fists. “They hit me on the head, face, mouth, wherever they could. After that, they took me out of the car and continued to beat me”, Tsvetan also points out.
A boy from a nearby center intervened. The attackers fled in two cars. According to the busty driver, the reason for all this is that, hours earlier, another taxi driver took the right path from some of the men in the group. They came to ask for an account. And when they did not find the man they were looking for, they attacked another man.
After the beating, two police patrols were sent to the scene. “It was 4-5 people who committed the crime, with a car. This car has not been identified and currently the employees of the Pazardzhik Regional Office are conducting an investigation to identify the car and the participants in the hit,” said the spokesman OD Ministry of Interior-Pazardzhik , Miroslav Stoyanov.
The taxi drivers in Pazardzhik demanded that the perpetrators suffer the worst punishment. “Ignorance, cowardice, whatever you call it, the law should be very strict on these things,” said taxi driver Lyubomir Slaveykov.
“Such harassment should be qualified as a crime against an officer, because we are currently working,” another taxi driver – Ivanov Ivanov.
The victim has been medically discharged and will sue his attackers.
