Under the auspices of Dr. Youssef Gharbawy, President of South Valley University, and Dr. Ahmed Kamal Nassari, Vice President for Community Services and Environmental Development, the South Valley National Society organized a symposium to spread education and awareness of community on reproductive health and family planning.
Dr Ahmed Kamal Nassari, University Vice President for Community Services and Environmental Development, brought greetings from Dr Youssef Gharbawy to the attendees and highlighted the university’s enthusiasm to set up a diverse student activities group for students. Al-Ahly University from various academic programs, and stressed the importance of this educational symposium to educate and familiarize students with the concepts of health, reproductive and family planning and the great importance of family planning in maintaining the overall health of the mother, child and family, and urging students to make the most of these educational seminars, which include a selection of distinguished faculty.
Dr Ali Abdul Rahman Goel, Dean of the College of Medicine, commended the university administration for providing various means of support to student activities and the regularity of the educational process and invited students to actively participate in these activities.
The symposium was attended by Dr. Abdel Nasser Abdel Jaber, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Medicine for Social Services and Environmental Development, and Dr. Ahmed Hamdi Shams El-Din, teacher in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Qena Medicine, addressed the concept of safe motherhood, which is bringing the mother and fetus to safety and the fundamental pillars of safe motherhood from care and follow-up during pregnancy and after pregnancy, and an overview of the history of maternal and neonatal deaths during pregnancy, the causes of death and the importance of reproductive health in protecting the health of mothers and children were presented.
