Miss Switzerland finalist Kristina Joksimovic was found dead in his home in Binningen in February. He was 38 years old when he died.

According to the People news site and the Swiss magazine BZ Basel, Joksimovic’s husband and father of her two children Thomas murdered a woman by strangling her.

According to the autopsy report, after his wife’s death, Thomas had dismembered the body in the washing machine with a jigsaw, garden shears and a knife. The man is said to have tried to dispose of the woman’s body parts by “mashing” them in a blender and sliding them in different chemical compounds. The man was arrested a day after the act.

According to the papers, at first Thomas claimed to have found Joksimovic’s body in the bathroom of his home and decided to dismember the body in a panic. In March, however, Thomas confessed to the authorities that he had killed his wife. The man claims that he ended up doing the act because the woman had attacked him with a knife.

The husband’s sentence is not yet known. According to news sites, it is recorded in the minutes that the man had concrete signs of mental illness.

Joksimovic was chosen as Miss Northwest Switzerland in 2007. She also competed in the Miss Switzerland finals that same year. In addition, he worked, among other things, as a model trainer. For example, he acted as a mentor for the 2013 Miss Switzerland Dominique Rinderknechtille.
