New York police have arrested an individual suspected of having perpetrated several knife attacks in the American city’s subway, claiming the lives of two people in recent days, authorities announced on Sunday (February 14).

Rigoberto L. is charged with murder and attempted murder, New York police said in a tweet. According to local radio 1010WINS, citing security sources, the man was arrested while wearing bloody clothes.
Four people in total, all homeless, were stabbed between Friday and Sunday on the A subway line that connects northern Manhattan to Queens. Two of them are currently in hospital, receiving treatment for their injuries.
