A surprising photographic experience with the realme 8 Pro smartphone

The phone, which has been available in the Czech Republic since April 8, is aimed primarily at enthusiastic amateur photographers and users of social networks, but will also appeal to professionals. “It’s very pleasant to work with the phone and it’s even better to take pictures with it. As for the camera settings, everything is clear and intuitive, ”shares his experience with realme 8 Pro Ostrava photographer Jan Žáček.

The smartphone offers many shooting modes, from which everyone can choose. And also new creative filters for portraiture. Most smartphones today use standard background bokeh for portraits, and the new from realme adds three more: neon portrait, dynamic bokeh portrait and AI color portrait.

“As a photographer, I like when I can edit a photo only in the post-process. In any case, the “color filter” appealed to me the most and entertained me. I was surprised at the wonders I can do with him, “comments Žáček.

Shooting in more difficult lighting conditions? Even with this, the realme 8 Pro can handle. The latest 108Mpx HM2 sensor from Samsung with a resolution of 12000 x 9000 pixels ensures a larger size of one pixel and thus better image quality. It can also combine 9 pixels into one, which means that you can achieve excellent images even in low light. Add to that the new In-sensor Zoom technology for greater clarity of the zoomed image.

“Shooting in a night city on a classic mode and out of hand was no problem. The resulting photo was smooth and noise-free, but unfortunately the small sensor could no longer achieve proper sharpness. But we still have to keep in mind that it is a mobile phone, not a professional camera, “says Žáček.

But what the realme 8 For expensive equipment for professionals is on its heels are time-lapse videos of the night sky (so-called Starry Mode) and time-lapse in Tilt-shift mode. Thanks to it, the user can get, for example, images of the city that look like thumbnails. No other smarthone has ever done this.

“I had the chance to take pictures with phones of more established brands, including Apple and Huawei, and I must say that the quality of the images does not lag behind the realme 8 Pro in any way. It was a really pleasant surprise for me, “concludes the Ostrava photographer Jan Žáček.
