A surprising decision of Poland’s neighbor. The government did not plan this

Czech Health Minister Roman Prymula announced on Monday (October 19) that from Wednesday, masks will also be mandatory outside the rooms, if it is not possible to keep a distance of 2 meters between people. Members of the same family and people practicing sports will be exempt from the obligation.

The minister’s information and the content of the regulation published on the ministry’s website come as a surprise, as Prymula announced on Friday that the authorities are not planning to introduce new restrictions.

Masks will not be needed in undeveloped municipalities and cities. However, the obligation to put them on will be while driving the car, if the driver is not driving alone or is not carrying his family members. Prymula emphasized that the colder it is, the greater the importance of the masks.

Wearing masks was obligatory in closed rooms and when leaving houses from mid-March this year. Later, the restrictions were eased and completely lifted on July 1 this year. In public transport, the masks returned on September 10, and from September 21, they are valid in all closed rooms.

From Prague, Piotr Górecki (PAP)
