A surprise from Volkswagen – the ID.3 will cost less than 30,000 euros

Information has appeared in the German media that Volkswagen will reduce the price of the electric hatchback ID.3, and soon and to a large extent.

Time had to come to an end for Volkswagen to change its attitude towards pricing policy in Europe as well. Customers were not without reason angry that there are no affordable electric cars in the Volkswagen offer, since the cheapest model of the ID family, the already mentioned ID.3, costs almost 37,000 euros per Germany. And that is still good enough, because in December 2022, this electric mobility offer from Volkswagen had a starting price of 44,000 euros in the negotiator.

According to Automobilwoche, the situation will change on October 1, when the price of the basic ID.3 Pure version will drop to 33,330 euros, which will allow, with a manufacturer’s subsidy of 3,570 euros, to push the price of the electric hatchback. below the 30,000-euro mark.

Volkswagen’s new head of sales, Martin Zander, has revealed that the company has been working hard to reduce internal costs, so now the ID.3 Pure can be offered at a price significantly lower. The manager confirmed that the aim is to encourage as many customers as possible to move to electric Volkswagens, and attractive starting prices play an important role in this.

We must add that this price for the particular model will be valid until the end of the year – if there are no other orders.
